The annual Carroll Hospital Farmers Market returns Thursday next week to bring fresh produce and delicious treats for the community. A collection of local farmers and business owners will be attending the markets each week with a new selection of fresh merchandise, all harvested or prepared the day before. It’s more important now than ever to support the local farmers and small businesses in our community because of the impact the pandemic had on the way we shopped over the last year.
“This year we’re encouraging the community to show up for their local businesses and enjoy the unique charm they offer,” says marketing coordinator Lexi Gaither. “Our vendors are kind, friendly people who strike up conversations with all of our market shoppers. Supporting them is like catching up with an old friend every week.”
Similar to last year, we’ve implemented health policies during our market. All of our market vendors will be required to be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and approved for participation prior to each market by Carroll Hospital staff. The vendors as well as the market shoppers will be asked to wear a face mask while present in the market area to ensure everyone’s health is respected.
From herbs and ripe produce to gourmet treats, the Carroll Hospital Farmers Market will have something for everyone in the family. Located under the protection of the third level of the hospital’s parking garage, this market will be held rain or shine every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 17 to October 7. The first 100 shoppers will also receive a free gift during our opening market day!
