Registration is now taking place for the next Embrace Wellness cancer survivorship program scheduled to start in early September.
The 12-week program is offered by Tevis Center for Wellness in partnership with NovaCare, a LifeBridge Health partner and nationally renowned provider of physical therapy and rehabilitation services.
Open to all cancer survivors who have completed treatment, Embrace Wellness supports participants through a holistic approach that promotes healing, recovery, and physical and emotional well-being.
“Embrace Wellness is focused on overall health and wellness in an inviting, caring environment where people can come together with common goals,” says community nutrition educator Bridgette Bostic, R.D.N. “The hope is that the participants who join will leave the program feeling like they have all the tools necessary to achieve maximum health in survivorship.”
The nutrition education and wellness sessions taught by Bostic all will be online, and a fitness consultation will take place with NovaCare Rehabilitation. Participants will receive a written workout plan and agree to exercise three times a week at a location of their choosing as part of the program.
The next session starts Tuesday, September 8 and runs weekly through November 24 from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. The cost to participate in the 12-week session is $50.
Embrace Wellness is made possible by the Carroll Hospital Foundation Embrace Fund, obtained through the generous support of individuals and organizations who want to ensure continued healing through cancer survivorship.
