Carroll Hospital is pleased to announce that it has been named among the best hospitals in Maryland by U.S. News & World Report.
The media company recently released its 2019-20 Best Hospitals rankings. Now in its 30th year, these rankings are designed to assist patients and their providers in making informed decisions about where to seek care.
Carroll Hospital ranked seventh in both the state and the Baltimore region and was recognized for its nurse staffing. In addition, it was rated as high performing in four medical specialties.
“Carroll Hospital is honored to receive this prestigious recognition. It is a testament to our staff’s dedication and exemplary effort in ensuring everyone receives high quality care right here in the community,” says Leslie Simmons, president of the hospital and executive vice president of LifeBridge Health.
The U.S. News Best Hospitals ranking uses a complex methodology to evaluate hospitals, focusing on measures ranging from patient safety to nurse staffing ratios and more. The 2019-20 rankings compared more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide across 25 specialties, procedures and conditions.
“Our hospital continues to seek innovative ways to improve the health of our community and this recognition proves we are succeeding. We’ll continue our efforts to be a health care leader in the county and one of the best places to receive outstanding care,” says Jeffrey Wothers, chair of the Carroll Hospital Board of Directors.
