You are invited to participate in a month-long, multifaceted celebration of breast cancer survival, screenings and early detection. The Center for Breast Health at Carroll Hospital, along with presenting sponsor Advanced Radiology, kicked off the festivities on October 1.

In a global healthcare crisis, who will care for the caregivers?
To say the past few months have been challenging would be an understatement. In these months, the coronavirus has impacted our community and our nation. No facet of daily life has gone untouched; our work, schools, places of worship, recreation and more have been affected by the pandemic and the effort to keep our community safe.
After an extensive search, Garrett Hoover became the seventh president of Carroll Hospital on March 30 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Hoover came to Carroll County from Corning, New York, where he was the president and chief operating officer of Corning Hospital, one of five hospitals that are part of The Guthrie Clinic. He lives in Westminster with his wife, Anna Luisa, and 8-year-old son, Christopher.
Each year, Carroll Hospital hosts a seasonal farmers market to help the community access healthy, locally sourced produce and products. Our market’s farmers and vendors come from the many corners of Carroll County to share the fruits of their labor.
This year, the weekly market kicks off on Thursday, July 2 and concludes Thursday, September 17 on the Carroll Hospital campus. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We have established the Care Bravely Compassion Fund to allow our community to help take care of the caregivers—the nurses, physicians and front-line staff.
