Celebrating Our Hospital and Our Associates

Each fall, Carroll Hospital celebrates its anniversary and our Associate’s milestone anniversaries during SPIRIT Week. Today, the week’s festivities are drawing to a close as we recognize our 59 years of service to the Carroll County community.

This year’s celebrations looked a little different this year as we worked to keep Associates safe, but it was by no means less special. The main event was our annual Associate Recognition Dinner at Martin’s Westminster.

But, instead of a sit down event, we had a drive-thru format, where our leaders handed over packaged meals and congratulations to those celebrating milestone anniversaries, retirees, and our SuperStars and Patient Safety Heroes of the Month. All told, we had an impressive six Associates who celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to the hospital!

In addition, the evening was made even more special with the presentation of the hospital’s SuperStar and Patient Safety Hero of the Year awards.

Congratulations are in order for Tyler Ridge, multimedia and event specialist, who was named SuperStar of the Year. Tyler was recognized for his dedication, expertise and patience in helping staff members throughout LifeBridge Health transition from in-person to online meetings during the pandemic and for being flexible with his schedule to run meetings.

Registered nurse Katlynn McCormick, emergency department, was named our Patient Safety Hero of the Year. Katlynn was recognized for staying vigilant and quickly responding to a situation where help was needed to keep patients and staff safe.

Other SPIRIT Week activities included a dress-down day and a Deck Party for our Associates, consisting of a special meal served by hospital leaders in the cafeteria.

It was a great week to celebrate and thank our valued Associates for all they do for the health and well-being of our community.
