The Carroll Hospital Auxiliary is celebrating 60 years of service this month! Ever wonder how the Auxiliary got started? The hospital’s 50th anniversary book, published in 2011, provides a bit of insight:

Happy Anniversary

At 1 p.m. on October 1, 1961, Carroll County General Hospital opened its doors to the community. Less than seven hours later, according to a local newspaper, the first baby was born and three emergency cases were handled.
